The park is a dream-come-true from a Costa Rican family with a profound love and understanding for animals with a well founded philanthropic compromise. The Sotela’s envision a place that captures the imagination and attention of Nature sharing it with visitors.
It is the result of a joint effort after an eight-year and a $ 10 million project involving coworkers, professionals and government authorities.
Africa Mia is Guanacaste’s newest and most unique tourist attraction, boasting over 150 animals. Aside from the native monkeys, wild rabbits, birds, guatusas among others, visitors are exposed on our African Safari Wildlife Tour to reticulated giraffes, the incredible Giant Eland, endangered species bongos, mask faced oryx, warthogs, zebras, ostriches, antelopes, deer, watusi african cattle and camels.
Africa Mia is recognized by various magazines, newspapers and travel consultants as the most unique attraction opened in Guanacaste in the last decade. Recently inaugurated, it has received 50000 visitors in a 4-month period, it has been placed on the” must do” list for the tourists with a profound love for animals while visiting Guanacaste.
